Limoges Porcelain Covered Serving Dish Hand Painted with Blue and Pink Flowers – D & Co ca 1870

Rare find!! This is a awesome piece of Limoges. It has beautiful wispy blue and pink flowers and vines decorating the top of the lid. The leaves of the foliage are in an almost teal green mixed with leaves of olive and rust. The front of the dish has a larger floral decoration similar to the top front. The back of the dish only has a smaller bouquet. The gold trimmed handles on the dish and the lid are designed to resemble branches that are criss-crossed. The dish is sitting on a one inch base trimmed in gold. The piece is in excellent condition. It is hard to believe that this piece is 138 years old, it looks brand new! A wonderful addition to any table.
