Monumental impressionistic people walking a path through a wooded landscape oil painting on ceramic tile, signed B. Netter 69 lower right corner, verso stamped; "ENGEL & TREMBLAI 51 & 33 RUE DE LA ROQUETTE A. PARIS" then elsewhere on the verso is stamped a Roman numeral V, measuring 27 x 27 inch (frame) (67.5 x 67.5 cm), mounted in an ornate gilt wood frame mesauring 24.5 x 24.5 inch (tile) /62 x 62 cm and would make an impressive addition to any fine household or collection.

Background: Netter, Benjamin was born in 1811 and died 1881 is affiliated with France and is know for his genre, landscape, cities and river scene paintings.

RUE DE LA ROQUETTE, was and still is one of the most prominent streets, running through the heart of Paris, near the famous The Place de la Bastille, where resides the Opera de Paris, considered as one of the most impressive in the world, and was inaugurated for the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution.
