With superb detail and movement in the round. The entire piece (including the base) was painstakingly rendered from a single piece of ivory and would make an outstanding addition to any fine collection. Measuring 3.25 inches /8.125cm Height, 7.5 inches /18.75cm Width, 2.25 inches / 5.6cm Depth

Although the Tang Dynasty which began in 618 and ended in the year 909 was long gone before the crafting of this sculpture. The craftsman's attention to line and detail can only be a testament to the enduring popularity of this icon of a bygone era.
