I love Suzy Perette dresses, and this one is extra special! Made of a lightweight navy blue silk with a lovely print of lighter blue poppies scattered throughout (very elegant!). The bodice features a shawl collar that is slightly padded at the edges for added dimension. The collar is slightly gathered at the v of the neckline. I has a wide 2 1/2" waistband and the skirt is pleated below the seam. The skirt has a 5 1/2" row of net, almost like a peplum, UNDER the skirt at the hips to give it a bit of pouf there. The dress is completely lined in navy acetate. It has a back metal zipper and last but not least the ORIGINAL belt in a cumberbund style with a bow. This dress is extremely well made with lovely details that you would expect from this label.

Bust 38", Waist 28", Hips 42", Drop to middle of waistband 16", 17" to bottom seam, Length 46", Sleeve Length 15". Belt 27-29".

Era: Mid 1950s.

Condition: Excellent. The only thing I could find to note is some very slight fading in the acetate lining only inside the sleeves. None at all on the outer silk.

This set has not been dry cleaned by me.
