The face of the ring is encrusted with additional glittering diamonds of about .02 to .015 carats. Most of these gems are old European cuts and a few old mine cuts. Some of the smaller stones are single cuts. All of these gems bring the total estimated diamond weight to a marvelous 1.10 carats. The softly edged frame sports delicate mille graining throughout as the open and pierced gallery adds elegant refinement to a most lovely jewel and is finished with banded diamond accented shoulders that smoothly transition into a silken platinum band.
Measurements: 15/16 inches in length north to south on the finger (2.3 cm) by ½ of an inch (1.3 cm) in width for the central element. This ring has a weight of 4.5 grams (2.9 dwt).
Condition: Very good; some evidence of an old reinforcement to one side at top of shank; a few stones reinforced, possibly one or two stones replaced. Overall, excellent for a ring of this age and caliber.
Ring Size: US 8-3/4 (UK R; Euro 18.75; 59 mm) and can be sized easily to fit any hand.
Date: Circa 1920.
Note: All diamond weights are approximate since the stones were not removed from their mounts to preserve the integrity of the setting.
