Details: A fabulous 19th Century kerosene/oil lamp made of highly decorated cranberry glass. It features colorful hand enameled flowers, leaves and dots plus an applied clear glass salamander and waves of clear glass rigaree encircling the upper and lower parts of the body. One rarely finds such a piece without chips to the elaborate rigaree and salamander nor missing parts of the salamander feet, legs, or tail. Here you have all those parts intact and without damage (even the tiny gold gilt lines that define the toes are still present) ;also the very fragile clear glass chimney is original and remains unblemished. The upper surface of the base of the lamp is decorated with white dots and gold gilt and the ten optic ribs in body of the lamp are evidenced in the pattern on the bottom of the base.
Dimensions: 16.5" high X 5" diameter
Condition: Excellent!! All the hardware appears to be original, except that the wick turning handle is shiny and could be newer. All other parts are original and in fine condition, as described above.
Shipping: The lamp will be shipped via USPS Priority mail with insurance. Check below the picture for the domestic shipping charge. International customers, please inquire about availability and cost of insured shipping to your location.
