Measuring approximately 9 1/2" x 5 ", this porcelain figurine by D'Avila is called "Teacher." The colors are a washed pastel and the detail is incredible. Included for you are pictures from many angles to show you the true beauty of this piece. D'Avila, of which Rex Valencia is apart, is a competitor of Lladro in Valencia, Spain.

It comes with a certificate stating that this piece is by D'Avila, the style no. is 2017, it is a limited edition consisting of 5000 pieces world wide. This piece is covered by certificate #273. A photo of the certificate is also provided for you to view and , of course, if you purchase the piece you get the certificate with it.

It is numbered on the base and signed in relief by the sculptor. There is a #22, an "S" and a # 98 on the base along with the stamped "Rex Valencia."

There is some crazing on the bottom of the piece in the back. All else is in fine condition.

This piece comes from my personal collection. I purchased it as a first year teacher back in 1984 and have enjoyed having it in my home. My tastes have changed since then, and it does not fit well into the decor that I now have. My years of teaching have been wonderful, so you can consider this a good luck charm for a new teacher.
