~Rosenquist Art-Porcelains~ many exquisite 'One-of-a-Kind' Masterpieces Handpainted over a Century ago by Victorian Artists
A Rosenquist Collection 'Roses' Art Masterpiece
'SUBLIME STILL LIFE of TEA ROSES' c.1900. Pièce de résistance de roses..... this is an exceedingly special antique hand painted Limoges Floral Art Plate, circa 1900, completely and most expertly handpainted by a superbly talented late 19th Century American Victorian Period porcelain artist, or Edwardian Era china painter. We cannot praise highly enough the ineffable beauty and consummate artistry of this Limoges fine art painting. Although unsigned by its artist, we believe this to be the work of one of the very talented old master protégés who studied art with Professor Franz B. Aulich in Chicago, and who later taught and opened their own art studios. Two such famous turn-of-the Century porcelain artists: Lurah Candace Davis and May E. Reynolds (Judson) often painted roses in this particular naturalistic style, graceful composition and deep color palette background, and we therefore believe this may be the unsigned work of either artist. In any event, we consider it to be one of the most beautiful china paintings of roses which we have recently offered in The Rosenquist Collection. The composition is perfect, the colors are sublime and the technique is that of a creme de la creme porcelain art master. We very rarely find so many varied colors of roses in one china painting, but this one has them all in shimmering jewel tones of: yellow, white, pink, soft peach and ruby roses, perfectly combined and gracefully arranged within a magical background wash of color which subtly fluctuates between several shades of green, soft blue and amber, to the radiant glow of yellow sunshine which emanates from the impressionistic petals of the central yellow rose, and again at the left side of this turn-of-the-Century masterpiece. This is a most exquisite work of floral art upon vintage French porcelain, and it is with great admiration and pride that we present it within The Rosenquist Collection of antique hand painted fine Art-Porcelain.

WHAT IS LIMOGES? The Rosenquist Collection is often asked this question by visitors who are yet unfamiliar with this beautiful old artform upon vintage French porcelain. Over the last several generations, exquisitely hand painted porcelains became a somewhat forgotten artform, which is now gaining a world-wide appreciative audience once again, and is becoming very highly collectible as an arts & antiques investment. The key to investment success, and also to acquiring the most beautiful collection, is to only invest in the very highest quality of artwork available, and to avoid anything less. This, in the long run, will give the greatest return on investment, as is true with all art and collectibles investments. Inferior quality investments may cost less, but they always appreciate much less as well.
