VERY RARE FRENCH WEDDING BOWL ~ LARGE Elegant China Mold

'SINGLE PETALED YELLOW WILD ROSES'. A dramatic and sumptuous example of the classic beauty of Old French china molds. This is a very rarely seen antique hand painted Limoges Floral Art Wedding Bowl, or Single-handled Bowl or Fancy Serving Dish, which might have been given to a young bride as a special wedding gift . This vintage heirloom was completely handpainted by a talented 19th Century American Victorian Period China Painter or early 20th Century Edwardian Era porcelain artist. It is a most elegant turn-of-the-Century creation which makes a refined and sophisticated display.

We love the shape of this piece -- free-form yet very elegant with a wide gold raised relief rim and substantial scrolled handle. The artist's palette on this 100-year-old piece is a rich Autumnal blend of cocoas and golden yellows contrasted with very pale background of butter cream, and softest Spring green shading to blue. The wild roses painted upon this bowl have an impressionistic and untamed quality that makes a wonderful juxtaposition with the refined mold and lavish coin gold work, creating an unusual piece that adds interest and elegance wherever it is displayed.

Sterling investment quality fine Art-Porcelain with the resplendent Coin Gold Gilding perfectly intact and with the century-old china painting in pristine condition, well preserved within a lustrous glass overglaze finish.
