Older AJC (American Jewelry Chain Company 1927-1997) creation of a bug brooch/pin, could be a fly but this one is very special. The thorax is a large red inset pear-shaped rhinestone, the wings are emerald green navettes and 1 larger and 2 tiny aurora borealis stones complete the body, all mounted on goldtone metal. All stones are pronged except the red rhinestone., Fine working safety catch and signed AJC. The colors are vibrant. Just the perfect accent piece. Measures 1-1/2 x 1-1/4 inches, very well made. From a South Shore Boston auction.
