I've been wanting to design a piece of jewelry with this rich color combination for quite a while. I finally found the time. The inspiration for my color choice is the rich colors of Venice, Italy, (see photo). From the fluted 10mm Vermeil circles, I dangled faceted gemstones of black Tourmaline rondelles, Golden Citrine, Black Spinel, Red Garnets, and large 9 x 9mm Peridot hearts. I dropped the circles, as well as Mandarin Garnets, (Spessarite), from 14K Gold Filed French ear wires. They drop approximately 1 1/4", (34mm), from the bottom of the ear wires. Simply stunning!
