Specializing In Fine Porcelain, Limoges, RS Prussia, Belleek, Vanity Items & Small Victorian Treasures ~ Layaway Available
Lovely antique porcelain RS Prussia dresser tray. A very delicate, beautiful piece, one of their earlier molds. The heavily scalloped rim has two molded handles and embossed scrolls, highlighted with gold. It has a gorgeous peach shaded edge and tiger lily outline transfer, hand painted with delicate pinks and yellow. The tiger lillies are painted with deep mauve spots and outlined with raised white enamel. Although unmarked, this tray is guaranteed to be RS Prussia. The same mold appears in Marple's book, RS Prussia The Early Years. It does not have a mold number as so few were made. It measures 9 3/4" in length and 5 3/4" wide. It's in absolutely pristine condition, with no chips, cracks, hairlines or wear. The gold is 100%. A perfect example of early RS Prussia artistry from the Art Nouveau period. Circa 1890.
