Exquisite RS Prussia cobalt plate. This is a lovely small plate, measuring 6 1/2" in diameter. It has a scalloped edge with deep cobalt blue, overlayed with gold stencilled floral decor. The gold floral stencilling extends into the center of the plate. The central decor is cobalt and blue shaded mums with raised white enamel. This beautiful plate is unmarked, but guaranteed to be RS Prussia. Following the release of the newest book on RS Prussia by Mary McCaslin, RS Prussia & More Schlegelmilch Porcelain Featuring Cobalt, RS Prussia in cobalt has become quite popular. This plate is in good condition, with a small, tight, colorless hairline on the back of the plate, which does absolutely does not go thru to the front. Circa 1900.
