SALE Limoges Purple Violets Petite Art Nouveau French Dresser Tray

Exquisite Limoges petite French dresser tray in a very unique and rare to find Art Nouveau mold. Hand painted with glorious purple violets, these look to us like johnny-jump-ups, a relative of violets and so much prettier, like tiny orchids with purple petals and yellow flower centers. Trailing green leaves and scattered flower petals against a minty green and peach backround. The heavily lobed, scrolling Art Nouveau mold features a gold rim and raised embossed scrolls, outlined in gold and filled in with minty green. The tray measures 7 3/4" in length and 5" wide. It is in very good condition with no damage, some wear to the scrolling gold on the high spots. It is marked on the reverse CFH/GDM (Charles Field Haviland/Gerard, Dufraisseix, and Morel. The nineteenth century artist, K.A. Pirre, has signed the piece and dated it '99. (1899). A beautiful and rare to find mold in French Haviland Limoges.
