Beautiful Haviland Limoges French gilt plate, hand painted with a profusion of colorful roses and three swallow tail songbirds. The birds, or swallows, zip across the plate beneath an arching garland of roses, painted in gorgeous tones of pink, purple, and red, against a backround of blue, yellow, lavender and apricot. The plate is in excellent condition with no damage, the gold around the edges of the plate is perfect. The plate measures 8 1/2" in diameter. Marked Haviland, France, this lovely French plate dates from 1893 until the earliest part of the twentieth century.
