Exquisite Haviland Limoges cherry blossoms porcelain painted plate with gorgeous gold French Rococo border. This heavenly plate was handpainted by a nineteenth century china painter on a Haviland blank. The artist has perfectly captured pink cherry blossoms in full bloom with fat, ripe flower buds, all along beautiful green stems and leaves. This outstanding porcelain painting is set against a dreamy backround of seafoam green and soft pink, with hints of lavender and yellow. The French Rococo border is heavily gilded with lavish gold. The plate measures 8 1/2" in diameter and is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or hairlines. There is no wear to the glorious painting and none to the richly gilded edge, the piece is superb. Marked Haviland France. Haviland used this mark starting in 1893.
