Beautiful Limoges French porcelain powder jar with stunning portrait of an Art Nouveau woman wearing a diaphanous, revealing, low cut gown. She is perfectly framed by filmy soft white clouds against a sky blue backround. The artist has painted a gold band around the rims of the lid and the jar. This piece is painted using the mixtion technique, and is just gorgeous. Marked T&V Limoges France, (Tressemann & Vogt Limoges France) and signed by the artist, ANB, on the base of the jar and inside the lid. The jar stands 2 3/4" tall and measures 5" in diameter. Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or hairlines. Exquisite on your Victorian dresser or vanity. Circa 1900.
