Gorgeous T&V Limoges porcelain plate or charger with lavish gold border and black penwork. The charger is signed by listed master Limoges artist, Roby. Roby has painted lush pink and purple tea roses with a profusion of lovely rose leaves and pink rosebuds, against a sumptuous backround of olive green, creamy yellow, and apricot. Roby's trademark, extensive use of Art Nouveau gold highlights with lovely black penwork, are painted around the roses. The piece measures 9 1/4" in diameter. Excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, or hairlines. Marked on the back with the Tressemann and Vogt studio artist marks, and Limoges France factory marks, signed by Roby on the front. We show the plate with a matching perfume bottle also signed by Roby, available separately in our shop. They display beautifully together or apart. This listing is for the plate only. Circa 1910.
