Vintage Hinged Taille D'Epargne Engraved Gold Filled Bangle Sweetheart Bracelet 1937

Simply smashing vintage taille d'epargne engraved bracelet. This superb and very special bracelet is gold filled, marked Simmons Betsy Ross. It has the most exquisite, intricately detailed engraving, very fine on a textured backround. It also has taille d'epargne designs, all framed within two narrow taille d'epargne bands around each side of the bracelet. It's too late to be a Victorian piece, and yet it is made exactly like those from the Art Nouveau period, with glorious engraved and taille d'epargne flowers, scrolling plumes, and natural, geometric designs. Inside, it is inscribed in script, Dodo, I give you all my love, Bob 4-16-37. This 1930's bracelet is a fabulous example of fine quality jewelry and must have been a treasure for Dodo, who cherished and cared for it. If only this gorgeous bracelet could talk, it could enthrall us with wonderful stories of glamorous nights on the town seventy one years ago. This piece is in excellent condition with no damage. Since it is gold filled, it is superbly showy, shining and commanding center stage even now. The bracelet is 1/2" wide and the inside diameter measures 2 1/4". It has it's original safety chain and the hinge opens easily and closes securely. An endearing sweetheart bracelet for someone very special...maybe you?
