White Daisies Heart Shaped Porcelain Brooch Pin

Beautiful and very unique antique porcelain heart shaped brooch. Hand painted with a profusion of white baby daises with yellow flower centers and trailing leaves and stems against a backround of minty green, teal blue, yellow, and apricot. The rim is painted gold, showing wear at the point of the heart only. The heart measures 1 7/8" in length and 1 3/4" wide. It is in excellent condition with the wear to the gold on the point noted, and very likely was produced in the Limoges region of France. The brooch closes with a simple C-clasp. We seldom find these brooches in the heart shape. Circa 1890.
