Exceptionally fine quality nineteenth century Victorian garnet bracelet with gold filled filigree hearts. Exquisitely worked by a master craftsman circa 1880. Five magnificent Bohemian garnets, facett cut and bezel set in graduating size diameter, with the largest garnet stone in the center. Intricately worked hearts rendered in gold filigree are painstakingly attached with tiny rings to form a garland of hearts with garnet centers, with a secure clasping mechanism and safety chain. The filigree is very fine, an outstanding Art Nouveau example. The bracelet measures 6 1/2" in total length when clasped. A stunning example of nineteenth century workmanship, with no damage and no losses. Gold filled, the bracelet showcases just as magnificently as it did when made 127 years ago. Absolutely mint condition with the original working clasp. Circa 1880.
