Gorgeous American Brilliant period ladies' Victorian dresser set. Large cut glass covered powder jar dresser box with matching hair receiver. Elegant flowers and deeply cut leaves adorn the lids and sides of the jars, with geometric borders of mitre cuts and silver diamond on the bottom of the jars and around the sides of the lids. Attributed to CF Monroe, of Meriden, Connecticut. Monroe operated a glass cutting shop from 1903-1916. Both the dresser box and the hair receiver stand 4" tall and measure 6" in diameter. Both are in excellent condition, one of the jars has a small depression along the rim which is completely covered by the lid. It appears to be an extremely shallow chip which could easily be polished out, please see next to last photo. Excellent condition for their age, circa 1910.
