Super fantastic painting by listed Florida folk artist, Addison, of great white herons in the Everglades at sunset. The painting shows nice detail with moss draped palm trees and the sun setting over the water. There are two great white herons in the foreground with several more flying overhead in the distance. The artist also made the gilt painted frame. Sold thru The Shell Shop, Municipal Pier, St. Petersburg, Florida, which was originally built in the 1920's. Addison painted this around 1932. It measures 10 inches tall and 8 inches wide, the frame as stated being part of the piece and made by Addison. Condition is excellent, no damage or losses, a great investment in regional vintage art.
