1947 Sterling Harlequin Pin - Book Piece

This pin is pictured on page 240 of the Brunalti book. "American Costume Jewelry," and is attributed to Urie Mandel who patented the design in 1947. It is heavy sterling silver and is 3" tall by 2" wide. It is decorated with colorful faceted and cabochon rhinestones. The figure is gold plated and the instrument is rhodium, as is the hand. The face is a faux moonstone. The piece is in excellent condition with no problems except for some tarnish, and it is marked Sterling and Pat. Pending, as shown.
