Issued by MacFarlane Lang in 1930, this delightful tin is called "Hunting" and features an attractive scene in the foxhunting field. A handsome box with faux bois or simulated wood sides, accented in gilt trim, a scarlet coated huntsman leaps a hedge on his horse, foxhounds racing along with him. The image on the hinged lid has a soft look to it, looking much like an old time oil painting. Measuring 7" square and standing 2.75" tall, it's in very good vintage condition, with fairly minimal wear for an 80 year old biscuit tin. A charmer for any equestrian, horse lover or tin collector.
