Large vintage wooden painted hand, great folk art!

What a fun old piece of folk art this is, a very large painted hand, over 25 inches tall and nearly 17 inches wide, and a bit under 1" thick. I keep wondering where it came from and what it was used for...STOP! Or maybe WHOA! Whatever, it's a real statement and just too fabulous. As you can see, there are a few nail holes in the center of the piece, so obviously it hung at some point. Great old red paint, with just a touch of chippiness to give it great vintage appeal. I can think of so many places where it would look stellar, particularly on a teenager's door--KEEP OUT! I fell in love with it and just had to have it.
