I have always been particularly fond of this tin, to me it is reminiscent of an old oil painting. Manufactured for MacFarlane Lang in 1930, it shows a scarlet coated hunter taking a hedge on his chestnut horse, following the hounds in pursuit of the fox. With a hinged lid, it's 7" square and stands 2.75" tall, with the sides nicely decorated in a faux bois and gilt effect. The colors are good, showing the fall colors of the hunting season, and while the tin has some surface rust and a few dings, it still displays very nicely. A really attractive tin for your collection, I have one in mine, of course!
