Vintage English dog food advertising sign, Spiller's Winalot

This terrific old sign for the English dog food Spiller's Winalot was designed to be inserted into a bin of dog food at the grocer's shop. My pictures don't do this sign justice--it's a rich deep green with black edging and shadowing on the Winalot Meal lettering. Manufactured under the Metal Box label by Hudson Scott of Carlisle, who also made fabulous biscuit tins, I believe that this sign dates to Pre World War II. Measuring 8/5" by nearly 14", it's obviously been used, but the condition is good, with some scratching and litho loss on the tin and the odd small dent. A plastic hanging tab has been taped on the back, which says "to clean this tablet wipe with a moist leather" and also has the Hudson Scott information. A fairly scarce sign, in nice displayable condition, it's a great old general store advertising piece.
