From England, a lovely old pair of cast iron horse figures designed to adorn a Victorian hearth or mantel. Wonderful to have a true facing pair, often these have been separated over the years. Two Arabian horses with dished faces, arched necks and high set tails wear exotic saddles and bridles, a truly lovely set. They measure 9" by 3" at the base and stand about 7.5" tall to the tips of their ears. As you can see, one tilts inward a bit, but that's really only noticeable if you look at them straight on, I mention it for accuracy. In lovely condition for their 100+ years, just a bit of surface rust to the underside of the bases. While lovely on your mantel, they would adorn any shelf and are the perfect size for bookends, as well.
