From England, vintage brass crumb tray and brush, dog

This was a fun find, an old brass crumb set, with a dog head adorning the handle of the brush. A hound, most certainly, and I believe a Bloodhound, such a serious expression! Made in England, and so marked, dating to the 1920's most likely, or a bit earlier, it's made of brass with natural bristles to the brush. The brush rests on the tray, which has an ornate top and a rest that holds it perfectly on the table. The dog brush measures 7.75" from bristles to ring at the top. The tray measures about 9" to the top, about 3.75" across at the bottom. In good condition for it's age, it could be polished, but I rather like the patina acquired over the ages. A charming piece for a dining room or kitchen, what a treat for the dog lover!
