Another attractive bridle rosette that has been transformed into a fabulous piece of jewelry, this one features a horse and his rider taking a fence. Perhaps they are out foxhunting, or perhaps it is a scene from a long ago horse show. The domed glass is in excellent shape, the rosette has a brass bezel and back to which a pin was added some time ago. Measuring 1.75" in diameter, the magnification from the camera gives a crackled look in spots, which don't show in real life. And do please forgive the light glare, it's a handsome old piece of equestrian memorabilia. These rosettes were used to adorn the bridles of horses, this one dates c. 1900-1910. Stunning on a lapel, worn on a ribbon around the neck or to hold a scarf. All my jewelry arrives in a gift box.
