Another recent arrival from my English shipment, this is a lovely old ceramic brooch with a romantic scene of a lady and her gentleman. It's round, and and impressive size at 1.5" in diameter. It's set in a silver tone metal bezel which is nicely engraved--due to the quality of the workmanship on this, I think it may be sterling, but I haven't tested it. The back features a simple C clasp and I can find no markings on it anywhere. The image is much crisper than my photographs, with the colors true and strong. A small shallow ding just above the mans head, which you can see in one of the photos. A charming old brooch, dating I would imagine to the early part of the 20th century.
