I was so happy to run into my favorite jewelry dealer at the antique show this weekend. Not only did we have a great visit, I picked up a number of wonderful old treasures from her that I will be listing in my shop. This is the most delightful dog pin, a cute terrier sitting on an old fashioned scale that says "your weight." And this pup is pretty stout, as the needle on the scale is hovering over 75 pounds! Must be the collar and ribbon around her neck that's adding all that heft! It's an older plastic pin, 1930's to 1940's, and the clasp on the back is molded into the brooch, not glued on. Fun detail, much of it raised, like the red arrow on the scale. A sweet little piece for any dog lover, especially the terrier devotee!
