REDUCED Delightful vintage figurine, three puppy dogs

A sweet little figurine, I just couldn't resist these pups, with their enchanting expressions. Marked Japan on the base, this pottery piece is quite heavy for its size and very well done. The dogs are on a base which has painted gilt scroll work with some age wear. I must admit I've no idea as to age, but it is obviously an older piece. There is a hairline to the center dog, which you can see in picture 4, I didn't notice it until I looked at the pictures. It's 5" long, just under 3.5" tall and 2.5" wide at the base.
