Published in 1952, this highly sought after book features the art work of George Ford Morris, and is subtitled "A few people, some dogs & other animals with autobiographical comment and narrative." As the foremost equestrian illustrator of his age, this oversized book is a collection of more than five hundred pictures of the artist's work in oil, water color, pastel, crayon, charcoal, pen and pencil, as well as of his lithographs, etchings, silhouette cut-outs and sculptures. At 280 pages, it is a lavishly illustrated record in full color and black and white examples of the noted artists work. As the book was self published in a limited number, it has become exceedingly scarce and much in demand for George Ford Morris devotees. This copy is clean and complete, some rubbing to the edges, with a gold embossed leather like cover, and it measures 14" by 11". As I have one in my own collection, I am able to offer this highly desirable copy at a most reasonable price.
