A charming book, published in 1964, this is a advice manual for kittens, strays and homeless cats, translated from the feline by author Paul Gallico. The 189 pages of this hard cover are filled with delightful photographs by his wife, Suzanne Szasz, hardly a page in the book without one or more photographs of cats and kittens at play. Written from the perspective of a cat, it tells how to finagle your way into the hearts of a family, so that all you desire comes your way--obviously MY two kitty girls read this book! Divided into 19 chapters, with feline advice on going to the vet, traveling, tidbits at the table, and of course Christmas, the joy of cats everywhere, among other topics. It also describes how to perfect the silent miaow, which is sure to melt the hearts of all who see it. The book retains a nice dust jacket, which has been price clipped, and an inscription on the inside. It's a good tight copy, a true pleasure to read with fabulous photographs.
