REDUCED Antique lithographed tin tray, beautiful young girl

$115 USD ReducedREDUCED Antique lithographed tin tray, beautiful young girl

Antiques:Trays
This is a lovely old tray, dating to the turn of the last century. Lithographed tin, it features an attractive young girl with a peaches and cream complexion. Dressed in white, with a soft bow at her neck, she wears a garland of flowers, and a head piece also decorated with flowers. This is a stock tray made by one of the American advertising firms, likely Beach or Meek, who both made oval trays in this size. The number 20 at the bottom indicates the stock number. The tray has a rolled edge, ...
Large antique tin advertising tray, horses in a pasture

$235 USDLarge antique tin advertising tray, horses in a pasture

Antiques:Trays
Another of my favorite old advertising trays, this one features four horses in their pasture. In the foreground, a small pond with cattails and in the background a barn, with what looks like a thatched roof. Made by one of the early manufacturers of Coshocton, Ohio, perhaps Beach or Meek, it has the information for the shoemaker W.B. Beamer at the top. At the bottom, the stock number 38, indicating what inventory number it was for the advertising company. The tray is in nice condition for its ...
Antique tin advertising tray, puppy dogs and cards

$135 USD Offers ConsideredAntique tin advertising tray, puppy dogs and cards

Antiques:Trays
One of the more famous and sought after advertising trays of the early 1900's, this was made by H.D. Beach of Coshocton, Ohio. Dating to c. 1900, it's a large tin tray, measuring 16.5" by 13.5", about .75" deep. Three terrier puppies are playing cards in their own fashion, by demolishing the deck. Fall leaves adorn the rim of the tray, with two vignettes to each side, one of a mill house, water bubbling down into a stream, the other a house with a barn, the other side of the stream. The image is ...
Large antique lithographed tin tray, lady and horse "Good Friends"

$139 USDLarge antique lithographed tin tray, lady and horse "Good Friends"

Antiques:Trays
I love these early advertising trays, and this one is a particular favorite. Entitled Good Friends, a woman stands next to her bridled and saddled horse. She is dressed in a bowler hat, a red riding coat, stock tie at her neck and riding crop in her gloved hand. Made by Meek and Company of Coshocton, Ohio, it bears their logo, and dates to the 1900-1910 era. Showing some age and use wear, as you can see, (which is reflected in the price) it still displays nicely measuring an impressive 17.25" by ...
Large antique lithographed tin tray, horse and buggy

$100 USDLarge antique lithographed tin tray, horse and buggy

Antiques:Trays
Dating to the early 1900's, this lovely lithographed tin tray is one I've not had before. Dogwood blossoms on the rim surround a central image of a stop on the road during horse and buggy days. A sandy road winds through lush forest, a large dead tree to one side. In the middle of the road, a doctor's buggy pulled by a white or gray horse and two men in conversation. I suppose it could be anywhere, but for some reason it evokes memories of the South to me, perhaps because that is where I grew up ...
