If you are a collector of vintage Scandinavian jewelry, you will want this unusual pin by noted Norwegian silversmith Askel Holmsen in your collection. It is oval shaped. It features 4 dome shaped circles, decorated with white enamel, bordered by scrollwork. The brooch measures 1.3" x just over 1". The pin has a c clasp. The back has Askel's maker's mark and is also marked 925S. There is some darkening to the silver, from age. I have not polished it. The enamel is in good condition. I would date this brooch to his early days, circa 1935.
