What a fabulous find for the true collector of Silent Movie Era Film Memorabilia! Offered is an AUTHENTIC ONE OF A KIND 8"x10" photo taken of the 1918 Silent film, Little Red Riding Hood. I do not believe that any other pictures from this film still exist. This photo features a scene with Little Red, The Wolf and the Woodchopper. This is a one of a kind find purchased from an estate along with pictures of the child actress Beatrice Stibgen. The words 'Scan' do not appear on the actual photo.

The Wholesome Films Corp production was directed by Otis B. Thayer and written by Helen Hamilton. It is a dream fantasy in which a little girl gives a Christmas party for her friends. Among the many gifts she receives is a bright red cape. She decides to take the name of Little Red Riding Hood. After the party, she, along with a friend who is spending the night, scramble into bed, where they encounter the "dream angel" sitting on the hook of the moon. Red Riding Hood dreams that she is riding a trained pony at the circus and that she has become the Little Red Riding Hood of the famous folk tale. She visits her grandmother with a basket of presents. Upon meeting the evil wolf who plans to eat her, she awakens to seek the protection of her mother's arms.

As an interesting note, all of the members of the 350 member cast, except Pauline Kelley and Margaret Johnson, were children.
