Grand 1890's White Organdy Afternoon Tea Dress w Delicate Lace Trim

A gorgeous 1890's white organdy afternoon tea dress with delicate lace ribbon inserts and a classic late Victorian tall collar. Small knife pleats decorate the neckline, bodice edges and sleeve cuffs while larger horizontal pleats highlight the skirt. The fabric has a crisp body and the dress closes down the back with beautiful shell buttons (one is missing).

Condition is pretty darn close to excellent as it has been lightly worn but very well cared for and it remains eminently clean, sturdy and wearable with no detractions. I can find one small hole in the lawn right at the hem line and one higher in the skirt and then there are several tiny holes in the lace ribbon which I showed in the pics but nothing noticeable, particularly over undergarments. Otherwise, it's freshly hand washed and there are no tears, stains or repairs that I can find.

A very wearable size by today's standards I would say with outside measurements while lying flat of: 40+" bust, 28" waist, full hips, 21" sleeves, 14" neck opening, 17" across the shoulders, 37" from waist band to bottom of skirt, 54" from shoulder to bottom of skirt and a 140" sweep.
