This is a fabulous 1940's black felt tilt or topper hat with a felt bow and satin ribbon trim. Universal in head size as it sits on top of the head tilted forward held on by the small strap put behind the hair. The inside tag reads "Royce, Paris New York" while the felt is stamped " Made In USA by Merrimac", there was also a "New York Creations" tag which was cut off. Measures app. 9" in diameter and 4" tall.

Condition is excellent with only the slightest discoloration on the inner grosgrain band to indicate that it has been worn once or twice but other than that it is completely bright fresh and clean with no holes, moth chews, dirt or edge wear, even the elastic strap is in great shape. A near pristine example of this very popular style.
