An exquisite Victorian evening torque bonnet with glamorous sequin trim and the plushiest black silk velvet, c. 1890's. The stylish asymmetric shape is formed by the underlying wire frame which is covered with tucked and gathered black velvet. The sequins are mounted on netting then laid over a white corded material, the ties are rich satin velvet ribbons and the lining is black silk.

Condition is positively spellbinding as it shows no signs of wear or even age. The velvet is amazingly pristine with no nap wear, fading or even dustiness, the entire hat is super clean and fresh actually and the lining is perfect as well. No repairs or alterations.
