Very Old Japanese Vase Signed & Paper Label

A recent purchase at the estate of a world traveler found this marvelous Japanese vase. There are two slight slices for lack of a better word at the rim. It appears it may have occurred during the making of the piece. They don't go through to the inside and have not been reapplied. There is a slight texture to the outside and the clay is red. It measures 7 1/2" tall and 4" wide at the widest portion. It's tapered at the top with a 2 1/2" opening. It's done in various shades of green with a zig zag pattern running vertically.

This is a quality vintage piece of pottery. Please view the pictures carefully. Feel free to ask questions. I wish I knew more about the history or could give a reading of the signature but Japanese writing is beyond me.
