About Us
Welcome to The Gilded Cage, where my highly original, finely handcrafted, artisan jewelry lets you express your unique personal style, or delight someone special. Top quality semi precious gemstones such as pearls, turquoise, topaz, chrysoprase, amethyst, garnet, kyanite, lapis, smoky quartz, amber, and citrine are artfully combined with Sterling Silver and 14K Gold-filled components to create each unique piece. Custom work is also available. I love to play with beads!!

For those who prefer the more traditional things in life, we offer a tempting array of fine Vintage Costume jewelry from the turn-of-the-century to the 80s. Many of the pieces are signed by designers such as Monet, Trifari, Caviness and Weiss, while others have all the beauty and glitz, but are nameless or have lost their original card/tag. Often, the types of stones and construction allow us to ''attribute'' the piece to a particular manufacturer, but don't let the lack of a signature keep you from purchasing those wonderful earrings that called you by name! Some of the pieces date back to the Victorian era, and may be gold or sterling - look for these items under Fine Jewelry.

Last, but not least are the beautiful Native American pieces we carry. All of them have been individually hand-crafted on the Navajo, Hopi or Zuni Reservations, and were purchased by me from friends on the Rez or at monthly Dead Pawn auctions. Most of them have been previously worn, but are in excellent condition. You will never find a piece made in Taiwan, Korea or the Philippines in my shop!!!!
