Welcome to The Burning Tuba, where passion and art come together to free your fire within. We offer quality hand-crafted vintage-bead jewelry, designed to quench your thirst for the extraordinary.

We will also showcase estate collectible jewelry, lapidary supplies, vintage porcelain and crystal items, antique flatware, secondary writing curriculum, vintage beads and findings, and other interesting items as we find them. With three years of Internet-based sales behind us, we have a history of satisfied and happy return customers.

On a personal note, we are very conscious of the origin of our jewelry components. We do not use products from China or India, not only because of their inferior quality, but because of the problem that so many jewelry designers are either ignorant of or choose to ignore: silicosis.

Silicosis is a painful and sometimes terminal lung-destroying disease caused by breathing stone dust (silica) produced during stone-cutting and -shaping. Working conditions in China and India are so poor that the workers have little or no protection in the workplace.

So, those cheap gemstones are not so cheap, if one takes human suffering into account. Our prices are higher than the cheap imported junk that will break within two months, or lose its luster and fade, but our jewelry is quality, guaranteed, and cruelty-free.
