Gorgeous art deco print by the famous artist George Frederic Watts 1817-1904 - the original painting of this print was done in 1886. The woman figure "Hope" sits atop the world blindfolded with one string left on her Lyre - BUT... there is still "Hope" even when all else seems against it! What a great theme!! The frame is really lovely with great deco lines in each corner - it is gold with brown accents - a larger print in original frame - see one of the last pics, you can see some damage to the frame - otherwise this is s lovely piece for the price!
