A lovely original vintage oval serving bowl in the Hanley, Silverdale Pattern 1900 to 1947. Blue scenic colonial style design on white background. The scene depicts a colonial style couple in the foreground by a fallen log with lovely flowers & tree near them. Off in the distance are some ships on the water and a quaint old church on the far side of the waterway. Mountains are in the background. Marked on the bottom: Silverdale, (a small scenic scene stamped all in blue), Hanley, England. There is a light tan crazing on the bottom of the bowl which doesn't go all the way through, and doesn't take away from its use or displaying well. No chips or cracks. In excellent vintage condition. Dimensions are approx. 1 1/2"T X 10 1/4"L X 8"W.
