Antique Napoleon III French Empire ormolu and satin glass jewelry casket with gorgeous neoclassical decor. A spectacular piece masterfully decorated with finely detailed ormolu appliques depicting mythological figures!!! A pair of elegant swans grace the sides of the box while the front and back are decorated with a pair of winged angels holding an opulent crown atop a shrine bearing the Napoleonic N. The box stands on four winged lion paw feet and the lid is encased with a large ormolu mount depicting the mighty Neptune and his chariot pulled by sea horses! Gorgeous! And in good antique condition with no chips or cracks. Measures 4 3/4" x 2 7/8" x 3 1/8" tall.
