Antique 11pc French Silver Tea/Coffee Spoon Set in Napoleon III era Box

A set of 11 antique mid-19th century French silver tea or coffee spoons, elegantly housed in their original wood & brass inlaid Napoleon era presentation box with navy blue satin lining.

Hallmarked with the French 2nd standard Minerve mark for .800/1000 silver as well as maker’s mark of initials "N.V" between 2 stars and a crescent moon for silversmith Nicolas VAUTRIN, active from 1844 to 1859.

The set is in good condition for its age, lacking one spoon for a complete set of 12. The box itself shows signs of wear commensurate with age. A strip of brass inlay is missing from the decor on the box and there is a lock, but lacking a key.
