Magnificent antique Ambrosius Lamm Dresden porcelain double-handle urn hand painted throughout in thick impasto gold-gilt on a bright cobalt blue background. This piece is a stunner and rare to find by Lamm, the entire body is covered in raised gilt décor. A pair of beautifully detailed portraits adorn the central front and back in a classical Roman/Greek scene, both depicting a lady and her baby. Marked at the base with the blue lamb and Dresden, circa 1891-1914 .

In very good condition-Light gilt wear commensurate with age as well as a flake chip located on the base.

Measures 21” in total height. 9 5/8” in diameter at the opening.
